dead tree-trunk

"At that time, I often thought that if I had had to live in the trunk of a dead tree, with nothing to do but look up at the sky flowing overhead, little by little I would have gotten used to it... that after awhile you could get used to anything."

- Albert Camus (The Outsider)

well in this day and age there is such a thing as 'quote finder'. one doesn't necessarily need to read the book. and.. favorites change. nothing surprising about it

that's actually more-than-mildly insulting, but since u hardly know me, 'll let it pass.:)

n i'd say one adds to the set of favourites, never really throwin stuff out, wouldn't u agree?

one grows, learns and gains a finer appreciation of things in life. when that happens we cast away the things we once believed to be beautiful or of any consequence.

it was hardly meant as an insult. it was just a retort to your statement.

"cast away the things we once believed to be beautiful"

hmm.. has a nice ring to it; a certain melancholic charm.

i, of course, don't buy a word of that :)

n i must say, u seem rather sore!

dump i did, for exactly those reasons! and heres a life lesson novice. it is the fate of the dumped (and not the dumper)to be sore!!!
